Catholic Mass 11-19-21

Gospel

Lk 19:45-48

Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out
those who were selling things, saying to them,
“It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer,
but you have made it a den of thieves.

And every day he was teaching in the temple area.
The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile,
were seeking to put him to death,
but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose
because all the people were hanging on his words.

We have to remember when we go to God’s house to open our minds to God’s words. Today’s gospel opened my eyes to see that we have to set our daily minds aside for one hour to listen to God’s Word to fully be in His presence because, after all, we are truly at the last supper every time we attend Mass. And if you have trouble understanding what I am saying, take a few minutes and listen to the homily above. It has opened my eyes and maybe it will mean something to you as it has meant something to me. I don’t know what you will get out of it because God speaks to everyone in His own way.

Your brother in Christ,
