Prayer for Vocations

Prayer for Vocations

Almighty Father,

You have created us for some definite purpose.

Grant us the grace to know the path

You have planned for us in this life

and to respond with a generous “Yes.”

Make our archdiocese, parishes, homes and hearts

fruitful ground for Your gift of vocations.

May our young people respond to Your call

with courage and zeal.

Stir among our men a desire and the strength

to be good and holy priests.

Bless us with consecrated religious and those called to a

chaste single life, permanent deacons,

and faithful husbands and wives,

who are a sign of Christ’s love for His Church.

We commend our prayer for vocations to You, Father,

through the intercession of Mary our Mother,

in the Holy Spirit,

through Christ our Lord. Amen.

What I think Christians should do.

Christians should not be afraid to help people no matter what their consequences are, if it is the right thing to do, it is the right thing to do. No matter if they are going to get in trouble for it or not. We should do the right thing to do by God because after all he is our creator, he is the one judging us. He is the one with our true paycheck at the end especially if we are going to save a life. Any punishment is worth that because after all you will be punished by God, you will be rewarded by him. If you don’t do it you may be punished by God, who knows it might be eternity.

This is totally off the subject of one thing I didn’t realize, the think I didn’t realize I knew it but I didn’t truly comprehend was God lives outside of time. So everything we do is like putting him on the cross again. And it also for that matter, he can go back in time and save people from purgatory or hell. Sometimes we just have to say the Divine Mercy for that person, and he will show his Divine Mercy over that person and they will be lucky enough to go to Heaven, if they are not in Heaven already. We do not know who is in Heaven and who is not. God is the only person that knows that, we don’t totally understand how that works and we shouldn’t have to but we want to. We shouldn’t dwell on it either if we truly believe in Christ we didn’t dwell on it. Also if we truly believe in Christ, like so many people say they do our churches should truly be packed on Sunday. And I mean every Mass we offer and for that matter our weekly masses should be like our Sunday Masses are now. All the front pews should be full on Sunday every seat should be full. Some of the ushers should have to go down and get more seats, if we showed up to Mass like we should as we believe in Christ. That should be the way it should go.

A desperate plea from a father and husband. Where is our mercy, our compassion?

I agree we have to do something about amnesty, but we have to do something about the ones that don’t have anyplace to live too. We can’t just start letting people in because they are refugees. Yeah they are from another country, but they have to have a story why they left. Shouldn’t we look into that story, before we refuse them entry into our country? I think we should. What about you?

I’m not sure we will make it. The days are growing long, the nights even longer. I am so tired. I sit with my wife and daughter through the darkest hours wondering if it will be our last nigh…

Walking a Fine LIne

According to today’s society you have to walk a fine line. But, I believe you don’t have too. What happened to religious rights? I think they went bye bye and I don’t know why because they are the next important thing next to the constitution,  but I know what you are going to say about that too it is going bye bye as well. So what religious rights and constitutional rights are we following now? Are we just going by the seat of our pants? Who makes the decisions on this earth? It’s hard to say but I think it is God. However many people think God’s rules don’t exist. I think those that don’t believe God is in control of those rules are wrong. Will people join me in this belief I have? I hope so. But what does that take? It requires guts standing up for what is right. Even if that means your out of a job for what you believe in. There are several jobs you can get that don’t require you to tell people your beliefs, only if you want to tell them. As you know, I would want to but I would not fire somebody for standing up for their beliefs. In fact I would stand behind them in whatever belief and whatever they decided. But their are some people that wouldn’t. I don’t know what to do for these people. But I pray that God somehow is going to take control of this matter. I don’t know how but I know that anyway God decides will be the right way. We just have to continue to do what we are doing for him, doing what is right for God. I will pray for you, will you please pray for me?

Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
