Dec 17 – Homily – Fr Elias: Christ Completes Wisdom.

Life isn’t suppose to be a contest!  We are not in it to see who can have the best car or even best clothes.  We are supposed to be here to help one another,  show one another love, share our love with one another,  and show love for our God: our one true creator.  We are supposed to be here to appreciate our talents as well as those around us as much as we do our own.   We are not supposed to feel that we are better than someone else or think we can do something and somebody else can.  We are supposed to share and give what we can to one another.  We are not supposed to be selfish.  We are not supposed to be like we have this and we won’t give it.  Most of today’s society is like this, it needs to learn to help one another when they need help.  Love thy neighbor as we love ourself.  So my challenge to you today, is to go out and spread God’s love far and wide, don’t be afraid to share it!  If you see somebody that you know, don’t be afraid to share it because you’re afraid of non-believers.  Somebody has to be the last one to show them to Christ, so it might as well be you.  That is what I am trying to do, I am trying to spread God’s love as far as I can with the talent I have.  My talent is my words.  My words don’t always come directly from me, they come directly from my heart.  They don’t always come from my brain first, if you know what I mean.  So in my eyes they come from God, Christ himself.  Because I try to keep my heart his, God’s tabernacle, as we all should.  If you pray for me, I will pray for you.  If you have lost your way, and want to find a way back to church, go visit http://www.catholicscomehome.org/.
